Okay, while we're knee deep in getting to know each other I might as well share a little confession about myself. Are you ready? *whispers* I'm a kid in real life! No lie, I play all the time. It's quite tragic actually but ask anyone that knows me and they'll tell you. And it is alright because, again, I am perfect this way. I enjoy an array of childish things. For instance, I didn't stop playing with Bratz Dolls up until I was about 13 (I still have a Sasha head til this day), I prefer to watch cartoons than any other show, I'm hella ticklish, and I'll literally laugh at one joke for about 72 hours! In the mix of all my kid-at-heartism (yes I made that word up get over it) I have an honest love for Dr. Seuss. He is, in fact, my favorite author. In 2015 I did a public speaking final about him and received an A, thank you!

I'm going to be honest here and tell you all that he was way ahead of his time with his syntax and his word play! Imagine if he was alive and well today. Oh, how marvelous rap would be! I'm going to attach a couple of quotes below so you can see what I mean. Let's get into this:

1. "Why fit in when you we're born to stand out?"

2. "Today you are YOU, that is truer than true. There is NO ONE alive that is YOUER than YOU"

3. "And will you succeed? Yes you will indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed).

4. "You have to be ODD to be number one."

And for my favorite I'll insert a picture! Just kidding about the last one but that's relevant some where or another! But in all honesty Dr. Seuss really encourages being proactive in the times of adversity, individuality, and being true to ones self. Those are life lessons I feel that we never outgrow. Somewhere in my first home (when I get one) there will be a bookshelf filled with affirmations, self-help books, magazines, financial planners and definitely Dr. Seuss books! I challenge you to laugh a little more today, spend more time wondering about the "what if's" and not worried about the "what are's", have a child take you on an adventure. Never lose your light, protect it at all costs.

"The end of childhood is when things cease to astonish us. When the world seems familiar, when one has got used to existence, one has become an adult."
