Oh, the Places You'll Go Rendition

Oh, the places you’ll go.

All the things you’ll see.

All the people you’ll be.

Remember, we never stay the same.

Sometimes we gain fame, sometimes not.

But don’t get your head in a rot.

You’ll become who you are meant to.

You’ll do everything you’re supposed to do.

Don’t get down on yourself.

Health is wealth.

Tough times are only a season.

Everything is for a reason.

Use that sadness for art.

It doesn’t matter when, just start.

Nothing and no one are perfect you know.

It takes time and patience to grow.

Oh, the places you’ll go.

Dr. Suess said “I'm afraid that some times

you'll play lonely games too.

Games you can't win

'cause you'll play against you.”

Self-doubt is your enemy.

Like trapped smoke with no exiting chimney.              

Too much build up and you’ll explode.

I don’t mean to impose.

But imagine the places you’ll go!

Decide today, why start tomorrow.

Let go of the pain and sorrow.

Your presence is a present, your absence a curse.

Make your place on this earth.

No passion, you can choose one.

No money, you will make some.

No smarts, then read.

Delay wants, conquer needs.

Destinations are set.

Fulfill your desires and make sure they’re met.

When you’re down on your luck, remember Dr. Seuss once said “You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself

any direction you choose.

You're on your own. And you know what you know.

And YOU are the guy [or gal] who'll decide where to go.”
